TABLE Announces Beverage Business Expo

19 Aug TABLE Announces Beverage Business Expo

National Event For The Beverage Industry October 20-21 in DC

Beverage Industry "how to" event of the year, October 20-21 DC Convention CenterTABLE, The Association of Bar and Lounge Establishments, presents the Beverage Business Expo October 20-21 at the Washington, DC Convention Center. Previously a successful regional event called the New York Bar Show, the renamed Beverage Business Expo makes its debut as a national conference and trade event. The Expo is for beverage industry professionals, providing “how-to” solutions for owners and operators of bars, restaurants, and hotels. The conference features live demonstrations and ten educational tracks with over 60 seminars.

“The expo fills two important gaps in the industry,” says TABLE President Paul Garcia, “a professional business event for owners and managers, and a national event on the East Coast. You might see one in 100 East Coast attendees at shows in Vegas or California. The East Coast has 2.7 times the number of hospitality businesses. There are over 15,000 bars in Maryland, DC, and Virginia alone.” Centrally located on the East Coast with a convention center on the subway, three airports and more hotels rooms than New York City, DC is the ideal location for the Expo.

The theme of this year’s Expo is “The Elements of Beverage Business Success.” The Expo floor features themed exhibits where attendees can interact with products and learn how they can be used to improve their business. Educational seminars include dedicated tracks in specialized areas like: bar technology, back office management, communicating online, liability, and hotel beverage service. Seminars cover specific useful content like: handling food trucks, working with your liquor board, costing drinks, cultivating niche crowds, and spotting the latest fake IDs.

TABLE has formed a partnership with HCI to provide free TIPS training for attendees on-site at the Beverage Business Expo. This is unique because HCI has never partnered with or endorsed an association, and rarely participates in expos. “We have been searching for an association and an event that focuses primarily on providing establishments with the necessary tools to be successful. TABLE and the Beverage Business Expo does just that,” says Trevor Estelle, HCI’s Vice President. The partnership will provide TABLE members with TIPS training as a member benefit each year. This benefit is especially useful for establishments located in more rural locations that may not have a TIPS trainer nearby.
